Jessica grew up in Encinitas, California. She attended University of Hawaii with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. Afterwards, she spent several years living on the island of Oahu. Time on the islands inspired her to learn more about nutrition and how to achieve optimal health. She came to work at The Spring Center in January of 2015. Being no stranger to the water, Jess spends her free time swimming, surfing and enjoying the beach with her fiance. Her buoyant personality makes her a joy to be around and people are encouraged and uplifted in her presence.
Originally from the Northwest, Laura is now a long time resident of the Newport-Mesa community. Her early work in Geriatric Social Services inspired her to learn more about healthy aging and preventive healthcare, leading her to pursue a Master’s Degree in Public Health at Cal State, Long Beach. Laura enjoys exploring the country’s National Parks with her husband, John, and their family, as well as volunteering with youth in the community. She comes to the Spring Center after raising her three children, Audrey, Marco and Amelia, and is eager to assist others on their journey to health.
Jamie comes from a quaint little beach town on the south shore of Long Island, New York called Long Beach. Searching for an endless summer, she packed up and moved to Hawaii where she enjoyed the crystal clear water and beautiful landscape. After a year and a half of island living she relocated to Southern California to pursue her passion for holistic wellness. In her free time Jamie enjoys practicing yoga, meditating, traveling, and exploring the benefits and uses of herbs and crystals. She is Reiki level 2 certified, and is always looking to expand her knowledge and skills of holistic healing.
After graduating from the University of Southern California with a Bachelor of Science in Global Health, Tarika joined the Spring Center to pursue a career in medicine and wellness. She aspires to become a Physician Assistant in Pediatrics and Obstetrical care and is currently volunteering at Hoag. With a background in Ayurveda and yoga therapy, Tarika is enthusiastic about learning and applying holistic approaches to better herself and those around her. In her free time she loves painting, finding new recipes to cook and keeping active by working out and playing tennis.
Sarah began working with Dr. McCann in 2009 as her medical assistant, and after a move to Colorado she stayed on, committed to continuing her relationship with this revolutionary practice. A native of Colorado, Sarah grew up in the Denver area, studying theater, music, and Traditional Chinese Medicine. Her time in California was an adventure, but she is happy to be back in her home state, where she continues to sing, act, and enjoy the mountains.
Brigid brings a dynamic background that spans the gamut of areas in business management. She grew up in Upstate NY and always dreamed of living with warm winters in sunny California. That dream was realized in 2013 when she joined the Spring Center to assist her sister in managing the Practice. Brigid enjoys helping patients on their journey to wellness. She is a certified yoga instructor and offers classes and private lessons in-house. Brigid also enjoys antiquing, styling, floral arranging, wine tasting, traveling and running along the beach in her new hometown of Long Beach.
